Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Bright Oak Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Buffalo, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 57 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for survey data and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
