Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Forge Freight Group and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 305 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
