Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Harborlight Stone Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Austin. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 65 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
