Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Ashton Freight and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
