Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Cedar Stone Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
