Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Jackson, MS)

We are growing our team at Silverline Ivory Freight and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
