Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Hartford, CT)

Westbrook Lakeside Foods produces packaged foods at its Hartford plant, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
