Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Grand Rapids, MI)

Summit Thistle Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for safety records and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with subcontractor invoices. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
