Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Des Moines, IA)

Amberfield Wren Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Des Moines design routes and schedules. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
