Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Cleveland, OH)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Forge Freight and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. We reward reliability. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Cleveland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
