Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Charleston, SC)

Bright Keystone Freight Group is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
