Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Baltimore, MD)

Fernwood Cross Foods Group makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Baltimore. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore. • We reply to every applicant.
