Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Manufacturing and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 723 people based in Austin. What you will do • Track performance measures for production lines and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
