Senior Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Atlanta, GA)

Summit Mill Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Atlanta. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Atlanta. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
