Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (San Diego, CA)

Westbrook Yarrow Foods produces packaged foods at its San Diego plant. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 990 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Track performance measures for ingredient orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
