Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Rochester, NY)

Summit Keystone Farms is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 286 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with field records. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
