Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Rochester, NY)

Northwind West Freight Associates is a Rochester logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
