Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Rochester, NY)

Cedar Wilder Manufacturing Group is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for machine downtime, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
