Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Northwind Forge Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Richmond with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on process improvement. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Richmond. • We reply to every applicant.
