Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Northwind Lakeside Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Kansas City. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
