Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Stonegate Oak Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Birmingham, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
