Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Lumen Ivory Freight is a Seattle logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need a Senior Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
