Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood West Freight Group and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. We reward reliability. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
