Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Harborlight Rowan Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Portland. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on process improvement. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
