Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Orlando, FL)

Nova Clear Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Orlando. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on process improvement. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Orlando. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
