Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Memphis, TN)

Bright Iron Construction is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for project schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 133 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
