Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Jackson, MS)

Northwind Glen Foods is a Jackson food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Senior Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for ingredient orders and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
