Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Jackson, MS)

Cedar Bridge Freight Group is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes.
