Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Austin, TX)

Summit Wren Environmental Services is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for collection routes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Track performance measures for collection routes and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
