Senior Operations Manager - process improvement (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Wren Freight and adding a Senior Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
