Senior Maintenance Technician - on-call response (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Keystone Freight and adding a Senior Maintenance Technician whose main responsibility will be on-call response. You would join a large organisation of about 646 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Follow lockout and safety procedures without exception. • Diagnose and repair equipment quickly and safely. • Carry out planned maintenance and inspections on schedule. • Keep tools and parts for carrier rates in order. • Respond to urgent calls and record what was done. What we are looking for • Several years of maintenance or trade experience. • Ability to read manuals and simple schematics. • Reliable, safe and comfortable working independently. Nice to have • Trade certification or licence. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
