Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Lantern Manufacturing makes precision components in Seattle. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on dispatch and scheduling. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for customer orders. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
