Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Kansas City, MO)

Westbrook Ivory Foods is looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for customer specifications, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for customer specifications. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
