Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Kansas City, MO)

We are growing our team at Summit Maple Manufacturing Group and adding a Senior Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be dispatch and scheduling. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for machine downtime. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with machine downtime. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
