Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Jackson, MS)

Summit Cobalt Construction is looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on dispatch and scheduling for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for safety records. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jackson, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
