Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Grand Rapids, MI)

Westbrook Yarrow Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Grand Rapids. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on dispatch and scheduling. You would join a large organisation of about 832 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for proof of delivery. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
