Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Des Moines, IA)

Summit Ivory Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Des Moines, and we need a Senior Logistics Coordinator to lead our dispatch and scheduling. You would join a small organisation of about 109 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for sanitation schedules. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
