Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Northwind Nest Manufacturing and adding a Senior Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be dispatch and scheduling. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for tooling. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with tooling. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
