Senior Logistics Coordinator - dispatch and scheduling (Baltimore, MD)

Silverline Meridian Foods is a Baltimore food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on dispatch and scheduling. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for customer specifications. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
