Senior Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Grand Rapids, MI)

Summit Rook Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for tooling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 246 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for tooling. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
