Senior Logistics Coordinator - customs and documents (Chicago, IL)

Redstone Thistle Construction is looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on customs and documents for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 966 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for materials orders. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with materials orders.
