Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Fern Freight and adding a Senior Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. We reward reliability. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for customer tracking. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Experience with customer tracking. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
