Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Rowan Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Seattle. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 142 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for grower contracts. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
