Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Sacramento, CA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Union Inspection Services and adding a Senior Logistics Coordinator whose main responsibility will be carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 117 people based in Sacramento. What you will do • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for scheduling. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with scheduling.
