Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Rochester, NY)

Harborlight Union Foods Group produces packaged foods at its Rochester plant. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of about 732 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for sanitation schedules. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
