Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Pittsburgh, PA)

Fernwood Junction Markets serves neighbourhoods around Pittsburgh with fresh food and everyday goods. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for promotions. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with promotions. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
