Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Kansas City, MO)

Amberfield Orchard Foods is a Kansas City food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Report on on-time performance for allergen controls. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with allergen controls. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
