Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Houston, TX)

Ironwood Amber Press prints books, catalogues and packaging from its Houston plant, and we need a Senior Logistics Coordinator to lead our carrier coordination. You would join a small organisation of about 37 people based in Houston. What you will do • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Report on on-time performance for customer orders. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
