Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Des Moines, IA)

Clearpath Pine Manufacturing is a Des Moines manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring a Senior Logistics Coordinator to take on carrier coordination. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Report on on-time performance for machine downtime. • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. What we are looking for • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Knowledge of freight terms. • Experience with machine downtime. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
