Senior Logistics Coordinator - carrier coordination (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar Fox Construction is looking for a Senior Logistics Coordinator. The job centres on carrier coordination for safety records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Coordinate with drivers, carriers and warehouse staff. • Schedule pickups and deliveries and keep customers informed of timing. • Prepare documents such as bills of lading and proofs of delivery. • Track shipments and resolve delays and damage claims. • Report on on-time performance for safety records. What we are looking for • One or more years in logistics, dispatch or transportation. • Comfort with a transport-management system or spreadsheets. • Strong phone and email manner. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • Knowledge of freight terms. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
